in Washington County

Who we work with

Over 30 years of yards in Southern Utah.

Some of our work is a brand new custom home where nothing has been planted yet. Just as much of it is a good house with a tired yard, a pool deck that needs to feel finished, or a commercial property that has to look sharp every week of the year.

What all of it has in common is the ground itself. In Washington County the answer comes down to grade, drainage, irrigation and plant selection long before it comes down to style. Get those wrong and no amount of design saves it.

We have been getting them right in St. George, Santa Clara, Ivins, Washington City and Hurricane since 1995.

What we do

Full service, start to finish.

Design, installation and long-term care, all under one roof. If it happens outside the house, it is probably on this list.

New Construction

Planned alongside the build so irrigation, grade and hardscape are settled before they get expensive to change.

Re-Landscaping

Replacing a yard that stopped suiting the house, the water bill or the way you actually use the space.

Pools, Spas & Water Features

Decking, coping, planting and lighting that turn the water into a finished outdoor room.

Artificial Turf & Putting Greens

Base, drainage and edging done properly, which is what decides whether turf lasts ten years or two.

Commercial

Business properties and common areas that have to look presentable every day, not just on install day.

Landscape Maintenance

Our own dedicated maintenance crew, not a subcontractor. The part that protects everything else you paid for.

Flagstone & Paver Installation

Patios, walkways and courtyards set on a base built to survive freeze and heat cycles here.

Sprinkler & Drainage Systems

New systems, repairs, controller programming and the drainage that keeps water away from the house.

Gardens & Grow Boxes

Raised beds and planting areas built with soil and irrigation that actually produce in this climate.

Outdoor Lighting

Path, tree and architectural lighting on a timed system, planned with the landscape rather than added after.

Children Play Areas

Safe surfacing, shade and equipment space designed into the yard instead of parked on top of it.

Outdoor Kitchens

Built-in cooking, counters, seating and the utility runs that have to be roughed in first.

Our one rule

Get it done right the first time.

The Eagle Creek Team

How a project runs

Four steps, whatever the project.

A pool surround and a forty-lot HOA run on the same logic. Look at the ground first, decide on paper, build it once, then keep it alive.

01

Walk the property

Free, on site, no obligation. We look at grade, drainage, sun, existing irrigation and what you actually want to do out there.

02

Design and estimate

A plan and a line-item estimate covering materials, plant sizes, irrigation zones, square footage and schedule.

03

Build

Our crews, one named contact, dates we hold. On a new build we work to your builder’s calendar rather than around it.

04

Care

A walkthrough of the controller and the first season of adjustments. Then ongoing maintenance if you want us to keep it.

In their words

The yard, and the people who live in it.

After a considerable search of landscaping companies in the St. George area, we decided to engage Eagle Creek Landscapes to reengineer our entire landscape. The project entailed a complete redesign of our landscape to include converting our yard into an environmentally friendly area. This entailed the planting of new palm trees, as well as adding landscape lighting and installing artificial grass. Darrin and his team did a spectacular job in converting our landscape into a beautiful and ecological friendly environment. We could not be more pleased with the end results. We were so happy with the outcome of our very large project that we engaged Eagle Creek to maintain our landscape. Again, Eagle Creek has done just an outstanding job in keeping our entire landscape healthy and beautiful. On a side note, Darrin's recommendation to install artificial grass in our front and back yards has reduced our monthly water bill by about 75%. Eagle Creek is a customer focus company, staffed with a cadre of highly skilled personnel and we would highly recommend them.

Eagle Creek fixed another landscaping company’s poor job on our side and front yards’ conversion to desert landscaping, and then we had Eagle Creek complete our back yard with artificial turf, fresh rock and an in ground trampoline installation. Great company to work with, they do the job right and Darrin the owner runs the company with integrity. It’s been a few months since our landscaping was completed and we love how everything turned out with Eagle Creek!

We used Eagle Creek Landscapes to install an entire backyard landscaping plan on our new home. It is an unusually large property. It came out exactly as we wanted including some beneficial changes as we proceeded. It took about two weeks. We have since used Eagle Creek Landscapes on two subsequent phases modifying our builder-installed front landscaping and installing some drainage and additional landscaping on a hillside behind our home. Eagle Creek Landscapes has been reliable and professional. We plan to use them again on a fourth phase of our landscaping program.

Very happy with these guys. They did all the landscaping on our new build. The design architect came up with a great plan that we only tweaked a little for our personal needs. They explained everything and communicated better than any contractor we used for the 18 month construction process (hats off to Mark especially). The crew was amazing, well organized, showed up on time and stayed late when they needed to. They came in on budget and gave us options and reports on costs as the job was progressing. AND, everything looks amazing! Eagle is the way to go; give them a call.

Common questions

Before you call.

Do you only work on new custom homes?

No. New construction is a big part of what we do, but so are established homes, pool surrounds, water features, artificial turf, commercial properties and HOA common areas. If it is outside the building, ask us.

Have you worked on properties like mine?

Almost certainly. Ask for work in your community, at your scale or of your type and we will bring photos of comparable projects to the first meeting.

What is included in an estimate, and what happens if the scope changes?

The estimate lists materials, plant sizes, irrigation zones, hardscape square footage and the schedule, so you can compare it line for line against anyone else’s. Changes are quoted in writing before we do the work, never after.

When during a new build should landscaping start?

Earlier than most people expect. The first conversation is best while the home is still being designed, because grade and drainage get decided then. The physical work usually starts once masonry and stucco are finished.

Do you help with the Washington County turf rebate?

We do. We measure the qualifying area, design the conversion so it meets the program’s planting and drip requirements, and walk the application through with you. The rebate is applied for by the property owner, so the paperwork stays in your name.

Do you maintain the landscape after it is installed?

Yes, with our own maintenance crew rather than a subcontractor. A new landscape needs its irrigation adjusted through the first full year, which is the difference between plants that establish and plants that get replaced.
